In the laundry room. Whirlpool offers a "Laundry 123 Tower and Work Surface". This is a vertical metal box that is placed between or beside the dryer and washer. This can hold detergent, dryer sheets and bleach. In some of the models, a 10-inch retractable rod can be used to hang garments on. These items sell for $200-$349.
A Fireplace that hangs. Lennox offers "The Radium." This item is a ventless gas-burning fireplace which is enclosed in a floating glass surface that can be hung flat against a wall. The fireplace unit measures 35" wide and 27" tall. It is almost as thin in depth as a plasma television. This fireplace requires no venting to the outdoors. Instead, the unit utilizes a catalytic converter which cleans the heated air as it escapes for the top of the fireplace's combustion chamber. This new concept in fireplaces is set to be available in June of this year at a MSRP of $2,499, with a smaller model being offered at $1,999.
Make more room in your garage. A company called Garage Gladiator is offering what they call a "Jumbo Cabinet." The unit is 6' tall and 24" in depth.
The cabinet features 3 shelves which are adjustable along with two wall-mount brackets. A third bracket can be added to enable the cabinet to be mounted off of the floor. It has a weight capacity of 300 lbs., but is built to withstand more than that amount. The MSRP of the cabinet is $369.
