The housing slowdown has caused many buyers to scale back on many aspects of their homes, but the bath and kitchen continue to receive the highest priority. This is not surprising considering that these rooms are the most used in a home. The kitchen is the most popular room in a home. Many buyers wish to integrate the kitchen with adjacent living areas. This option enables residents to entertain while being able to converse with their guests while in the kitchen.
A recent survey showed that 40% of architects are trending towards the designing of larger kitchens. 30% are designing separate kitchen facilities in addition to a main kitchen.
The kitchen is the room of a home that owners are most likely to invest in upgrading. High-end appliances are most popular, even if the overall home is not in a high-end price range.
