Update your Older Bathroom Tile
In 1957, shades of yellow, green pink or blue were popular tile colors which were usually outlined with black grout. In 2007, colors like these are not very current.

There are several options available to potential buyers as well as current home owners who wish to replace and/or update their tile. Four options are listed below:
Remove and replace. This option is the most expensive and time consuming one and can often turn out to be much harder of a project than it looks at first. The heavy mortar that the tiles are set in can be quite an ordeal to remove.

Apply a new color with reglazing. Reglazing tiles with a nice, fresh acrylic coating can last up to 10 years and can cost from $500 -$1800 to update the tile area around an average standard-sized bathtub.

Choose to install an acylic liner. A high quality custom made bathtub surround can cost up to $1,800 but will forever remove the need for tile and grout cleaning.

Choose paint. These days, epoxy type paints are higher quality that in the past. Since the shower area will be used a lot, expect the paint to eventually peel, chip and blister. This method would be fine for areas of the bathroom that do not become wet on a daily basis.
