Here are five easy and inexpensive "quick fixes" to help improve the overall "curb appeal" of your home.
1. Purchase whole flats of single color annual flowers to brighten up your front yard.
2. Pay attention to worn out fencing. Dilapidated fencing can be seen as a black eye on your home. Stain the fencing with muted colors such as antique gold, warm gray, subtle blue or soft green.
3. Sharpen up the distinction between your lawn and the sidewalk or flowerbeds. Replace old edging material with heavy, tumbled stone pavers.
4. Old concrete steps, planters and sidewalks can stain, discolor and crack as time goes by. Apply a colored concrete stain to achieve a more unified look with out having to replace anything!
5. Bare ground looks bad! A simple fix to bare areas is mulch. Purchase an attractive type and cover all bare areas with at least 2 inches worth to keep weed growth to a minimum.
