The housing market in Phoenix has seen its share of increase, but is still more affordable than the
California housing market. DMV records are showing that an average of 9,000 California residents arrive in Phoenix every month.
In February of 2007, the average median price of a home in LA County stood at $528,000, while in the Phoenix market the price was at just $253,000, a huge difference.
Unemployment is low in Arizona, about an average of 4.2%. Officials say that number would be lower, except that the state is seeing an 100,000 to 300,00 new residents annually.
