New Home Owner Insurance Danger
In the aftermath of such natural disasters as Hurricane Katrina and other serious storms, insurance companies are now adding clauses to policies upon renewal. Residents of the Gulf coast and other hard-hit areas are seeing these changes appear on their policies.
When your home insurance renewal arrives, be sure to take the self-defense approach and read through the policy very carefully to look for additions or deletions to your coverage. If you notice any changes, contact your insurance provider and request that the changes be removed or begin to shop around for different insurance coverage.
