Foreclosure Rate Falls
Filings for foreclosure in the U.S. dropped 7% in the month of June to 164,644. 33 states reported month over month decreases.
On the other hand, the rate remained at 87% higher than the figures from June 2006, however was lower than the 30 month high reported in May of this year.
The state of Nevada reported the highest foreclosure rate which equated to one foreclosure for every 175 households. Top ten states with the highest rate of foreclosures were California, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Arizona, Connecticut, Indiana and Georgia.
