Here are a few examples of the newest high-end options for home security systems:
Lagotek: a Washington-based company that designs wireless home automation systems that allow home owners to control everything from their lighting and temperature to surveillance and home security via a PC from anywhere in the world. These touch-screen systems sell for $10,000-$15,000 and integrate a host of third-party products, form locks to cameras and flood detectors.
Dottling: A German-based company offers safes that sell for $55,000-$$160,000. They are designed with 24-karat gold-leaf camouflage antiqued exteriors and feature retina and fingerprint scanners.
Home Security System: A Los Angeles-based company which offers a system that sells for a starting price of $1 million and includes bulletproof ceilings, walls, and windows. The most expensive feature drops gas blankets on an intruder.
SmartWater Technology: This security system allows the owner to paint a clear liquid onto their valuables, be it a wedding ring or a piece of art for around $65 for a one-year supply. The solution, which subsequently hardens, contains a unique forensic code that will glow under ultraviolent lighting. This allows for a serial number, company logo or engraving to be easily identified. It also makes burglar fingerprints easier to pick up .
