Younger consumers putting off the American dream.
The third quarter of this year showed a continued rebound of the rental market. A sign that more Americans are tending to put off purchasing the home of their dreams.


The NMHC (National Housing Council) reports that the rental market in the third quarter was showing improvement in the areas of occupancy rate, supply and demand.

While the market for condominiums has slowed down, the demand for apartment rentals continues at a strong pace.

The NMHC states that with continued employment growth, and a maintaining of higher -priced homes keeping the housing market out of reach for many would be buyers, the rental market should remain strong. Furthermore, the NMHC believes that this trend could last into 2008.
