UCSD Receives Grant for Adult Education
La Jolla: The University of California San Diego (UCSD) has just received a one million dollar endowment grant earmarked for the enhancement of educational programming for older adults.
The gift was awarded to UCSD Extension's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. It is intended to increase course offerings, attract more high-profile speakers and give the program a marketing boost. The gift was made by the Bernard Osher foundation. Based in San Francisco, the group supports higher education and the arts.

Advertisement Institute courses are open to adults 50 years and older. Fees for attendees will be $200 to take unlimited courses over the course of one year. Grades and college credit are not granted as a result of taking these courses.

Over 120 different courses, social events and tours we will be offered throughout the year. The current class selection includes Jungian psychology and Conversational Yiddish.
