Downtown San Diego Condo Market Remains Strong
The lastest figures, reported by MarketPointe Realty, for
downtown San Diego Condos, have been released. Downtown
San Diego Condo resales outsold last years figures by three units. What's incredible is that these numbers almost match
the numbers sold in 2003 and 2004. Nothing can compare to 2005, which was off the charts, with over 700 sold.
Most months, during 2007, averaged around 40 units a month and did not seem to be affected by the sub-prime mortgage
crisis. Average days on market also fell.
Average sales for downtown San Diego condos also remained very strong, hovering just above $650,000 and averaging around
$560 per sq ft. The number equals the 2004 numbers, but falls behind the average held in 2005 and '06.
According to local real estate agents, the market seems to be very active in January, feeding theories that San Diego
has one of the strongest markets in the US.
