La Jolla Playhouse Season Opener
La Jolla & San Diego residents alike should make it a point to see the new season opener in the Mandel Weiss Theatre at the La Jolla Playhouse. Opening day is on April 8th 2008 and will last through May 4th. The play is called 33 Variations and it was directed and written by Moises Kaufman, most known for his theatre art. The play deals with the present and the past, by using projected images of original sheet music from composer Beethoven and blending it with a live concert pianist to drive the point home.
