2007 was a good year for San Diego because....
Several areas in San Diego County, especially the higher end areas, such as, La Jolla, Coronado and Rancho Santa Fe, are showing signs
of recovery. Many have predicted that in the current housing conditions, San Diego would be one of the first to recover, which is exactly what
it did over ten years ago.
2. Some economists are predicting that in 2008 there will be eight to ten thousand new jobs available in San Diego County. San Diego continues
to show growth in government, health and construction jobs. Unemployments is lower than 5%!
3. Stock prices rose from many of the one hundred and sixty public companies in San Diego.
4. San Diego Tourism always remains strong and is estimated that there were over thirty million visitors to our city last year.
5. San Diego County ranks number four when it comes to millionaires, estimated to be approximately one hundred thousand of them
living here and seven billionaires. Areas such as Del Mar, La Jolla, Coronado and Rancho Santa Fe feed the economy, even when it's
down. Property taxes from these homeowners keep money coming in to local government.
