Average for La Jolla Homes & La Jolla Condos
The average price of a home in La Jolla has remained fairly consistent since July of 2006, around $2.5 million. It has dipped a little, falling to approximately $2 million in December of '06, but it quickly rebounded. Average prices hit the highest point in November '07, which was the highest average since August of 2006. The median price of a home in La Jolla also has remained very consistent. The largest decreases were in the amount of homes sold in La Jolla, which fell to their lowest levels, which were slightly under what they were in August of 2006, but in July of 2007 they peaked at around 35 homes sold for the month.
Also remaining very consistent was the average price paid for a La Jolla condo and actually reached it highest point at the beginning of 2008, averaging over $900,000. The number on La Jolla condos sold has also remained steady, but recently decreased to under 20 sold at the beginning 2008. The median price for a condo in La Jolla peaked in the months of March & April of '07, but quickly fell again and remained steady until January of 2008, where the median price rose to its highest since 2006.
