Heated Floors For La Jolla Homeowners?
Some La Jolla homeowners are beginning to catch on to a new trend that is not only sweeping the high-end homes of Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe and La Jolla, but it's also becoming a trend to luxury real estate throughout the rest of the country. Heated floors top the next luxury "must have" home feature for affluent home owners.
A survey took into account the most desirable features of homeowners of $1 million or more with investable assets of similar amounts. The survey found that features such as formal landscaping, designer kitchens and built-in home entertainment centers, once considered highly sought-after upgrades, are now look upon as standard features of luxury high-end homes.

72% of owners surveyed said that they already have a designer kitchen. 63% have formal landscaping. 34% have a wine cellar. 72% have a room dedicated to home entertainment and 30% also have home theater style seating in that room.

Owners that do not currently have these features in their homes are planning on adding them. 21.6% of people surveyed stated that they are either planning or are currently committed to the addition of a designer kitchen in their home. 27.9% are considering the addition of a home theater.

With designer kitchens and home theaters becoming considered standard; what are the latest "must haves?" Heated flooring tops the list. 23% already have them in their homes and 21% want to add them.

Other high-end additions include Bedroom kitchens, boat docks, putting greens and indoor pools.
