Conforming Loans Projected to Help San Diego Housing Market
The NAR (National Association of Realtors) says that increasing the limit on conforming loans would help over
200,000 homes in San Diego County. In February, Congress passed the stimulus package and it will probably
increase the limit.
What does this mean? Many experts agree that by increasing the conforming loan limit, more people will
be buying homes in San Diego. Increasing the limits will also ease the current mortgage disaster and will
help first time buyers and those wanting to move into something bigger or nicer.
There are only five other housing markets that are increasing their conforming loan limit to the max. For those
looking to buy a home in San Diego, the savings could be more than substantial.
