La Jolla Home Sales Report for January, February 2008
In the month of January 2008, fourteen homes were sold in La Jolla. The average price for a home sold in La Jolla was nearly 2.5 million dollars and the median price was almost 1.4 million dollars. There were forty-two new listings added to the La Jolla real estate market at an average listing price of just over 2.8 million dollars and the median price was over just under 2.2 million dollars.
Twelve home were sold in La Jolla for the month of February, which was less than January, but the average price rose to under 2.8 million dollars, as did the median price at over 1.9 million dollars. The average listing price jumped nearly a million dollars to over 3.7 million and the median remained about the same at less than 2.3 million dollars.

One of the homes sold in La Jolla during the month of January 2008 was listed at almost 7 million dollars and sold for 6.2 million dollars. Besides summing up the home as being "simply stunning" the La Jolla home boasted 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths. The home was built in 2007. It is a 2 story home with over 8,000 sq ft on an almost twenty thousand square foot lot. As expected, it has an ocean view.

The most expensive home sold in the month of February was just below 3.7 million dollars. It was a 5 bedroom hom with 5.5 baths. It was a 2 story home and was built in 1988 with an ocean view. The estimated square footage was 4,240 on a 6.25 square foot lot.
