La Jolla Homes Sales for March 2008
There was a total of more than $65 million worth of La Jolla real estate sold in the month of March 2008. 17 homes sold at an average price of not quite $4 million. The median selling price was $2.4 million. On the other end, there were 66 new listings in March, with an average listing price of $3.2 million.
The lowest priced La Jolla home sold in March went for $814,500 and its listing price was almost $870,000. The previous listing price was $975,000. The home was 2500 sqft, 2 story, 4 bedroom, 3 bath, with a 2 car garage. Besides this home, there were three other homes that sold within the $800,000 to $900,000 range. Only two sold within the $1 to 2 million range and seven sold within the $2 to 3 million range.

As we approach the home with the highest selling price, in La Jolla, for the month of March, there is a home that sold for $4.2 million. Then one that sells for $5 million (originally listed at nearly $6 million). The next La Jolla home sells for $15 million, listing price - as accepting offers between $13.2 million to $15 million. The home is 6 bedrooms, 1 optional bedroom, 7.5 baths, 3 story and over 8000 sqft on an almost 15 thousand sqft lot. No question that this one comes complete with an ocean view.

The highest selling price in March goes to a 7 bedroom, 5 baths, 6000 sqft home, sitting on nearly 61 thousand sqft of land. The home was originally built in 1922 and also is complete with a view of the Pacific. The listing price was almost $20 million and was previously listed at an astounding $28 million. The accept offer was $16.5 million.
