Median Price for a Home in La Jolla Up from Last Year
The median price for a home is on the rise in some areas in San Diego County. Encinitas homes, Ocean Beach homes and as many expected, La Jolla homes, all showed an increase in the median price.
The median price of a home in Ocean Beach has shown an increase of nearly 15 percent in the first quarter of the year. The median cost has increased over $100,000 since last year. Prices continue to remain high in Ocean Beach because it is a beach community with neighborhood values. A lot of people see Ocean Beach as having a small town vibe, but is within close proximity to their big city needs.

It is no surprise that the median price for a home in La Jolla continues to increase. La Jolla is one of the most desirable places to live in the United States. For one, La Jolla and areas like Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe have not been hit as hard by foreclosures. Mostly, the thought of buying a home in La Jolla, to many, is like buying a home in paradise.
