Del Mar Real Estate Report March 2008
10 condos sold in Del Mar last month. The average sales price for a condo was nearly $2 million and the median price was a bit over $1.5 million. On the other side, 31 new listings to the Del Mar real estate market were added at an average listing price of $2,369,480 and a median listing price of $1,950,000.
The lowest someone paid for a home in Del Mar was $780,000. This home was originally listed at $995,000, then later reduced to accept offers from $799,000 to $849,900. This was a 4 bedroom, 1 optional bedroom, 2 baths, 1,843 sqft home on a 12,500 sqft lot. It was built in 1971, with brick and stucco exterior and slab floors. It also came complete with a view of the evening lights.

The highest someone paid for a home, in March, was $6,550,000. This was a 3 bedroom, 1 optional, 4.5 baths, 3 story home. It was built in 2007 and as you probably expected, it comes with a view of the ocean. The sellers started out pricing the home at $8.9 million, then later reduced to offers between $6,750,000 to $7,750,876. In summary, there were 3 homes sold under a million dollars and 4 homes were sold under 2 million dollars.
