Del Mar Homes Sales Half of La Jolla's
There were about half as many Del Mar homes sold last month, as there were La Jolla homes. However, it is normal for La Jolla to outsell Del Mar, mostly because Del Mar is smaller. The community just north of La Jolla had 11 home sales for the month of April. The average price a home sold for was a bit over $2 million.
Outweighed by the new listings added to the market, Del Mar had 34 of them, at an average listing price of more than $2.6 million.

Only one home of the eleven sold for under a million dollars and its selling price was $960,000. The home was a one bedroom, 1.5 bath home built in 1972. It was 1,324 sqft and was built on an 8,300 sqft lot, with a view of the evening lights. Originally listed at $1.1 million and later reduced to $1 million.

Six of the eleven sold for over $2 million dollars, but the king of the month goes to a $3.5 million dollar home. As you would expect this Del Mar home comes with an ocean view. The home was a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2 story home built in 1992. Talk about a drop in price; this one was originally listed to sell at almost $5.7 million, then later changed to just under $4.6 million.
