First Organic Chain Opening in San Diego Airport
The San Diego Airport will soon be getting an organic certified cafe to feed their flyers. Organic to Go is the first chain of its kind and in true California fashion, San Diego will be a forerunner. Last year alone, more than 18 million people traveled through the San Diego National Airport.
Since many of the flights no longer offer meals, more and more people are focusing their hunger on the airport dining. In 2006 alone, people spent over 3 billion dollars on food and drinks in airports. In support of Organic to Go, recent tests suggest that there are an increasing number of people that are wanting healthier foods options in airports.

The company is now in three major cities, San Diego, Los Angeles and Seattle, where it is based. There are over 165 locations and they range from free standing cafes to wholesale locations and to universities. So, if you live in San Diego, you may just have to make a trip down to the airport and see what's cooking.
