High Temperatures for San Diego Residents
San Diego hasn't been this hot in a long time. Over the last few days, San Diego residents experienced a bit of a heat wave. Temperatures in some areas were well over 100 degrees. We took a trip into downtown San Diego and found that it was about 10 degrees hotter than La Jolla.
In most cases, we see many more people on the beach, in La Jolla, during the very hot days. But statistics show that on Sunday there were about fifty thousand fewer people on the beaches. A drenched fog is thought to be the culprit and the reason people did not spend the day on the beach.

Later in the day, the fog lifted and once again, the temperature hovered around 80 to 85 degrees. Jake Howard, who is originally from Texas, thought the weather was perfect, "this feels like a spring day where I'm from". Nevertheless, we San Diego residents just think it "too hot".

A little bit of good news; it looks like today should be about 10 degrees cooler, caused by some stronger breezes throughout the day.
