La Jolla Concerts by the Sea
Since the mid-80's, people have been coming to La Jolla to see La Jolla Concerts by the Sea. The summertime events have always been free to the public and feature music from folk to rock. Aside from La Jolla Cove being one of the most beautiful areas in La Jolla, that is also the location (Scripps Park) to hear live music.
It's a great way to spend an afternoon, with the stunning views and casual atmosphere, kids can play in the Cove and it's just a short walk to the seals. The park is impeccably maintained, so an afternoon of sitting in the park, relaxing, listening to some good music, seeing the ocean and hearing the waves crash against the rocks, may be just what the doctor ordered.

There is also plenty of good food available and you can even have a chance to win merchandise, provided by the La Jolla Concerts by the Sea sponsors. Live music can be heard at La Jolla Cove from 2 to 4PM from next weekend to Labor Day. All the concerts are handpicked to appeal to family values, so don't be afraid to bring your kids.
