La Jolla and Downtown San Diego in Demand
Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. As always, we went down to La Jolla Shores to watch the display. It was as crowded as I have ever seen it, but the show was, as always, spectacular. Generally, we see a bit of a slow down in the La Jolla real estate market during the holiday and leading up to the holiday. This year continues to break the predictable trends.
There are a lot of people looking for a home in La Jolla and downtown San Diego still seems to be getting quite a bit of action as well. A lot of people really love the convenience of downtown living and with gas prices hitting the stratosphere, it doesn't sound like a bad idea. Downtown offers shopping, entertainment and dining all within walking distance.

For many, La Jolla offers the same convenience. Depending on where you live in La Jolla, say in downtown, or in La Jolla Shores, those areas offer a stunning array of shopping, dining and entertainment. Granted, on a much smaller scale than downtown San Diego, but for some, that's all they need.
