Will the Recent Wildfires in San Diego County Affect the Real Estate Market?
Aside for the obvious need to rebuild homes in fire-ravaged neighborhoods of North and East County, many people will be in need of temporary housing, which will have an obvious impact on the rental market.
Wildfires will always pose a threat to our County. Many people are beginning to realize, if they did not know already, that wildfires are a part of life in San Diego. Whether or not the recent fires will have a significant impact on our market remains to be seen. A big difference today is that our area currently has higher levels of inventory than in the past.

There are some amazing deals on homes and condos right now in additional to extremely low interest rates. Many people who were affected by previous fires relocated to less fire-prone areas of the city which created a housing shortage and in turn drove prices up.

Our city has received an outpouring of support in response to the recent fires, which illustrates the great ability our citizens possess to respond to one another in times of need and crisis and their ability to rebound and remain positive towards this wonderful area we call home.
