The La Jolla Community Planning Association will meet again on November 14th at 9 AM at the Hotel Parisi on Prospect to consider alterations to their proposed pilot parking management program prior to taking action on it. At this meeting, the board could vote to make the plan their official recommendation to the San Diego City Council. After that point, the plan would be analyzed by city traffic engineers
prior to then being returned to the City Council for a final decision, which could take months.

The pilot program as it stands would implement a 2-hour time limit and paid on-street parking on Prospect Street, Fay Avenue, Girard Avenue, Ivanhoe Avenue, Herschel Avenue, Kline Street, Wall Street, Silverado Street and Jenner Street. The first 30 minutes would be free of charge. The following 90 minutes would cost $1.50. Additional 2-hour time limits on residential streets surrounding the village would also be implemented. Time limits would be enforced between the hours of 8 AM and 7 PM. Residents would be able to purchase up to two permits which would exempt them from the time limits at a cost of $14 each permit.
Beach areas which are along Coast Blvd would be subject to new time limits and paid on-street parking.
