La Jolla Institute Receives Five Million Dollars
The Glenn Foundation has given five million dollars to the Salk Institute, based in La Jolla, California. The money will go towards an establishment that will focus on the effects of aging. The idea is to look at aging from a molecular level and its foundation will be the top scientists from the many Salk Institutes from around the country.
Researching the aging process has grown dramatically in the last ten years and the new research center will continue those efforts by studying the biological process, the many factors that go into the actual events that affect aging. The hope is that by their diligence, the world will even begin to see new cures for many "age-related diseases".

The Glenn Foundation began in the mid-60's and has continually tried to find ways to extend the productivity of the latter years of life.
