Five Landscaping Tips that will Wow Home Buyers
Sellers in today's real estate market need to work harder to entice potential buyers to consider their homes. Here are five tips:
Add color appeal to the front yard of the home. Seasonal flowers such as fragrant roses which bloom in both spring and summer along with an accent tree which changes color in the autumn are nice touches.

Be sure to size trees and shrubs to the proper scale of the home. Windows should not be blocked, especially windows on the front of the home. Too many trees on the property can give would-be buyers a reason to worry about future maintenance costs.

Keep the lawn perfectly maintained while on the market. A nice, lush green lawn gives an impression of care and pride in ownership. In drought areas, consider landscaping with rocks, ornamental grasses, and drought-tolerant plants.

Consider lighting up the outside of the home. Good lighting can add drama to the home's overall appeal. Keep the lighting simple and use low-voltage lights. Remember, the less is more theory here.

The sound of water can be both soothing and appealing. Small fountains are affordable and can mask intrusive noises in both the front and back yard. If you have leather furniture, make sure it has been cleaned.
