Highlights of the week's events include:
April 20: Trash Sort, 11 AM to 1 PM
Students, faculty and staff will sort through nearly 1,000 pounds of trash dumped in the Town Square. The purpose of the event is to show how much of the trash we dispose of contains recyclable items.
April 21-23: E-Waste Collection, 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Individuals are encouraged to bring along their old stereo equipment, cellular telephones and computers for proper disposal and/or recycling.
April 21: Local Organic Food Fair, 4 PM to 6PM
Located at Great Hall, the event's keynote presentation on "Green Meals" will be given by Steve Casad, Dining director of the university. All week long organic meals will be served at university dining halls.
April 22: Green Job Fair, 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Located at the Career Services Center, featured companies include enXco and The Center for Sustainable Energy.
April 23: Green Job Careers Panel, 2 PM to 3:30 PM
Located at the Career Services Center, professionals representing the recycling, environmental education industry, conservation and energy industries will discuss career opportunities with students.
