Millions of U.S. Homes may Contain Health Hazards
In a study released on September 24, it is estimated that over 5.5 million families in this country reside in substandard housing conditions. 1 out of every 3 houses located in major
From information gathered from United States Census data, the National Center for Health Housing found that the most common hazard found was water leaks. 11% of the leaks came from the outside, 8% from the inside, 6% from roofing issues, 5% from damaged interior walls.

The metro areas of Anaheim/Santa Ana, California, Atlanta, Georgia, & Charlotte, North Carolina currently rank at the top of the list for having the healthiest housing. San Francisco, Los Angeles, Oakland, and New York have ranked as having the least healthy housing.
