The Walk-ability Factor
Being within walking distance of shopping and social destinations can significantly increase the value of a home. The National Association of Realtors study has suggested that the value of a home may be increased from $4000 to $34,000.
My doctor says, "Walk more it will add healthy and quality years to your life". It seems that my doctor has either been talking to a lot of people, or others didn’t need the advice. Being in an area with the grocery store or favorite coffee shop seems to be important when people consider the location of their new home.

If you are selling a home it might be important to point out walking distance attractions or trails, paths, parks, shopping and restaurants. When buying a new home besides looking at the school district, calculate the added value of the walk-ability factor. There is formula to calculate the Walk-ability factor for a home.
