POSSIBLE EXTENSION OF TROLLEY SERVICE
The University Town Center area, which is adjacent to the University of California San Diego in La Jolla, may finally get trolley service. The area is one of high density population and, hopefully, an extension of the existing San Diego trolley line will make getting around not just the immediate area, but a large part of San Diego, so much easier.
The SANDAG (San Diego Association of Governments) Transportation Committee will be given the latest information to consider regarding the proposed extension of the trolley line. The federal government and SANDAG have been working together in order to choose the routes that the trolley will take in serving both the UTC and UCSD La Jolla areas.

This committee is expected to recommend routes to be used by trolley extension sometime in July. Completion of the extension should take place sometime in 2016.

One of the primary benefits of this extension is that it will make accessibility to the university by the students, faculty, those employed there, as well as others, much easier.
