The June median price for a home in the County was just above $335,000, which was down from the May amount of $340,000. The number of sales for June was three thousand eight hundred eighty-five, which was the most June sales in the past four years.

According to a few real estate experts, home sales along with home prices should drop slightly during the early Fall months after the end of the more active Summer buying period ends.
According to the President of the San Diego Assoc. of Realtors, there probably will not be a large drop in the number of sales. There may well be a slight drop in the median home price but is nothing to be concerned about. While purchasing activity may not be at the level of that during May and June, there is a still firm base of home purchaser activity.
The extremely low interest rates for mortgages, along with all of the various financing options still make this an excellent time to buy a home.
