According to a representative from a data-gathering company, the real estate market was way out of whack this time last year. Now it's just a bit out of whack.

There still seems to be a lot of bargain-hunters out there, while there doesn't seem to be much optional buying. The most influential concerns are obtaining financing and the interest rates for mortgages. While rates may be at record-setting lows, obtaining a mortgage is now more difficult as the qualifications are more stringent.
