The Day it ALL went right!
Were you one of the millions, like me, that could not take your eyes off the fascinating rescue of the 33 Miners in Chile? It seemed like every restaurant, gas station, convenience store in La Jolla, UTC and Del Mar I went into or walked by, people were staring at the miracle in Chile.

A woman in La Jolla Shores said to me, isn't it fantastic to have a really good news focus even if only for a day. It reminded her that life is good. At a Starbucks in University City computers were all wi-fi ed into the internet and live streaming the Capsule rescuing miner after miner without a glitch.

Perhaps because the mid-term election ads are so negative, and the national economy and people's individual finances are a constant gnawing concern every day, looking at people there has been a sense of almost defeat in their eyes.

This last few days we have seen the Chilean mine collapse and rescue. It has been a great example of a responsible and good leader of the men trapped underground and a national leader taking charge and getting done what was thought to be the impossible. "Thanks we needed that" psychological shot in the arm.

What we got to see were men with a great courage and a "Never Give Up" attitude, and a demonstration of strong leadership and world wide support and technology, succeed perfectly.

We need a Day when it all goes right, to remind us of who we are and what we are capable of doing. When we work together with a single focus, to accomplish a genuinely important goal, mankind is truly amazing.
