Have you ever seen a Christmas Palm Tree?
While most of the country is pleased with a white Christmas the season along the La Jolla Shores, or on any of the beaches from Imperial Beach to Oceanside in San Diego County, are a little bit different. December's average rainfall for the coast is 1.31 inches and the average daytime temperature in December is usually a little over 66 degrees and the low is about 50 degrees. For that matter since records have been kept a total of 2 days in December have been freezing (32F) both days were in the late nineteenth century 1879 and 1891 and neither was below 32. Predictably 21 days will have sunshine in December and ten days will be cloudy. Sunny clear days in December average to be 14, partly Sunny days average to be about 7, and coast dweller in San Diego county will get about 6 days that have measurable rain. Some San Diegans call it the "Camelot Weather", it is just about perfect for everybody.

Now mind you I've not seen Santa on Christmas eve in San Diego, out in the dessert one Christmas Eve, but never in San Diego, well there was that one time, oops never mind. When I talk with people that claim to have seen Santa here (La Jolla kids, Del Mar Kids, Scripps Ranch Kids, San Marcos and UTC Kids they tell me that they have seen Santa in shorts and even in a short sleeved wet suit - just say'n.

Wherever you are for this holiday season it will be magical and we wish you Joy!

If you would like to find a little piece of Camelot call the Ruth Mills Team, right now we are going out to decorate the Palm Tree, but we'll be at the phone again in a couple of hours so give us a call toll free (888) 450-6691
